need a new flat iron
after 10 years, my chi finally bit the dust. i was at a ricky's today looking at them, and the saleswoman recommended babyliss instead of chi. anyone have any recommendations? thanks!

i just bought a Sedu Revolution. A little pricey, but smoothest plates I've ever used. Love it. Before I had a FHI with red ceramic plates. It just died on me after 10 years.

I had a chi for years and loved it. When it finally broke, I went to my hair dresser to get me another one with her discount. She told me she doesn't recommend them anymore b/c they are made in China now and the quality went way down. She recommended an Ion and I LOVE it. Had it for about 2 year now and it works just as good, if not better than my Chi. I think I paid around $70 at Sally beauty.

that's the impression that I got from both online reviews and from the saleswoman. So many reviews talked about how the iron broke somewhat quickly and that it was poor quality.
uggggh so many options! I don't mind spending some money on it (within reason of course, not paying $500 for an iron!) but there are too many good brands out there!

I have always used chi's. I usually only get a couple years out of them. So I switched it up once and got a babybliss and hated it. Went right back to the chi.
