Need a formal dress for FRIDAY

My DH and I have a military ball to go to on friday night. Originally, I was going to wear my shower dress, but DH took a look at it and said its not formal enough. I need something that doesnt have a pattern on it, not floor-length but longer than knee-length, and something that doesnt make me look or feel like a cow at this point

We dont have ANY maternity stores down here other than Motherhood and I've never been thrilled with their selection. Can anyone suggest a place to get a dress or show me something you would wear?

Also, at 31 weeks, how feasable is it to find a non-maternity dress that could fit me?? ANyone else do this?

try dress barn and just up a size or two

you can try ordering online at nordstroms.com- order a few things and return what you don't want.
they have a nice maternity selection.

you're thin to begin with, so i think you can get away with a regular non-maternity dress with an empire waist.

I have a wedding to go to on a Sat night in June and that's what I'm doing! Empire waist long black dress.

I'd go to macys or lord & taylor and try on everything!

I got a dress at NY and Company for a wedding this weekend. It's black and very loose and flowy, so it should work for you if you get a big size.
