NCL Breakaway??
has anybody been on this ship? we're looking into a "last minute" cruise that leaves in a couple weeks. We will have our 3 year old DS with us. The last time DH and I cruised was 10 years ago the reviews i'm reading are very mixed, so I thought I would see if anybody here has been on, especially with a young kid. Thanks!!

Re: NCL Breakaway??
wanted to add, did you see kids sail free thru 2013, I want so badly to book bc the price is sooo good but DH can't get away from work! I think I saw a cruise for 4 for $2200! thats so much less than prices I was getting earlier!!!

Re: NCL Breakaway??
My ILs just got back from a Bermuda cruise on the Breakaway- they liked it, but not as much as some of the older ships (The dawn, gem). But, they did say it would probably be better for a younger group since they have so many deck activities- rock climbing walls, water slides, etc. They said there were a lot less restaurant/entertainment choices unless you're willing to pay extra. They said they'd still go back again, especially because they booked last minute and got a great price!

I know!! That's what's making me look into it! And since we're looking to go soon, it looks like a balcony room would be like $370 pp for DH and I. So like $800 for a week vacation! Hard to beat! ( even if we end up spending $1000 more on excursions and stuff, it's not a bad deal!!) I'm just worried about DS maybe getting bored?? The one were looking st has 3 total days on the ship ( and a day on Florida and 2 days in the Bahamas). So I'm hoping there's enough to keep him busy those 3 days at sea. I hear NCL has a great kids club though.... Which is awesome bc we have no family in the area to watch him when we're home, so I'm looking forward to having some time w just DH and I! Have to think about it I gues! But for the price, I don't think we can go wrong!

Re: NCL Breakaway??
we went on DIsney with a 5 and 2 yo, we did a 4 day and there was so much to do that we can't wait until we can do a 7 night cruise with them. I know DCL is kinda in a different class than other lines simply bc htey do cater to young families but I think all the lines are upping there game in that area to compete.
Friends of ours just did 7 nights on RCL Oasis and loved it, they too had a 5yo and 2you.
I am sure you will have plenty to do, even with a 3yo!!!
