Nasty Gnats everywhere outside
All over the place does this have to do with the weather?

We get swarms of little gnats, usually in the spring. They go away once it gets hotter. It's weird bc I grew up a mile away and we never had them there. I think it's bc we're behind a lake. They'll probably go away when the weather changes.

I can't believe someone posted this bc I said the exact same thing today. My mother and I took my dd for a walk and we literally had to stop bc of how bad the gnats were! I've lived on LI for 4 years and never had this problem! Is it the weather.

I'm so glad I am ready this. DH has been going crazy throwing things on our grass. It's horrible this year.

We are getting them also. I Guess because we had all that rain, and then it warmed up again, so it is perfect breeding grounds. Funny thing is My neighbor who uses a ton of chemicals on his lawn, has no gnats, I dont use any chemicals on my lawn, Do those who have any gnats use chemicals on there lawn all season?

We have someone who has been coming for the past few months to treat the glass & we still have them.

We cut our evening walk short last night because of them, however, there was a dragon fly who was kind enough to eat them and hand out in front of our house, so we just hung out there... my 2.5 y.o. DD loved the dragon fly!

alwasy int he warm fall weather.
We ran cross-country meets at Sunken Meadow in HS and we were covered in them at the end of races.
DH has ran from golf hole to golf hole to avoid them.
