Nassau Stork (or similar) rental?
Can anyone suggest a place to rent a lawn stork for birth announcement? Or something similar? TIA!

I *think* BBB does this but I'm not 100% positive. I wanted to get one when DD was born but DH thought it was "dangerous" to announce you had a new baby to the world.

There is a florist on Broadway in Massapequa, I think it's called Pequa florist or something like that. I use to tutor over there and would pass it everyday and see that they did the signs.

this was who we found (i wanted the carraige, not the stork - most of the storks freak me out) but they are closed until 1/7 so we are llooking for a backup!

one more question, how much advance notice do they need?
we would like to use signsoflove.com but they are closed until 2 weeks before DD is due. is that enough time? i assume you have to pre-arrange this and then call them once you have specifics?

My husband called them in the hospital after DD was born. No pre-ordering necessary.

They are very flexible. Nothing but great things to say about them! I don't think they need 2 weeks to get everything together. Have you emailed them? maybe they are checking emails?

Really? Closed again??
I called after they came home. Or when I knew H would be coming home (maybe kinda sorta). I didnt want it there til she was home. They came like the next day.

yes two emails no response and VM is full. I guess we will wait until 1/7 if they are pretty quick! Just didn't want to get closed out
