nassau restaurants - christening
can anyone recommend a restaurant in nassau that would be ideal for a christening party - about 50 people? I would like either a private room or the ability to rent out the space for a private party?
we live in the massapequa area but would travel anywhere in nassau for the right place!
TIA!

We had both of ours at Hemingway's in Wantagh. We've also done events at Peppercorn's in Hicksville. I really like both restaurants.

my shower was at Hemingways we love Hemingways, I would just worry its too small for 50 people? Did you have 50+?
Im not familiar with Peppercorn's, will have to look into it!
and Singleton's is a great idea also!

We had just under 30 people in that glassed in room in the front. I can't imagine that the upstairs space wouldn't be big enough for 50+, but I'm not sure.
Good luck!

Is it at your church in Wantagh? What about Per Un Angelo in Wantagh? (the old Jones's Beach Hotel-off Atlantic, S. of Merrick) I went to a shower there recently and the food was really good. (big salad, choice of 3 pastas and choce of 4 entrees) It can definitely fit over 50 ppl.

I had DS first birthday party in the private room at Sergio's in Massapequa. The room is very plain but the prices are very, very reasonable, and the food is good.
There's also a large menu for guests to choose from for parties.

Re: nassau restaurants - christening
We had the twins christeninig here and you can't beat the price for the food they give you. The room is blah looking but you can dress it up and the owner is fantastic to work with.
