Naps and 2 year olds!
Does anyone else struggle with this dilemma?
Megan just turned 2. I have to force her to nap. Now, sleep USED to beget sleep in this house. But not anymore. When she naps, she has a HARD time falling asleep at night (and she goes down late as it is.) But when she doesnt nap, shes a lunatic by 4!
I have been waking her after about an hour. It seems to work some days, but others, it still seems too long to me. If I put her down earlier, without any nap, she wakes even earlier in the morning!
Anyone else going through this??

I actually can not complain because Michael is 2 and he still naps almost every day 1 - 2 hours but the problem is that he does not go to bed early.

That is how Ali was - she hasn't had naps during the day like that for over a year, cause of it being like that

Bella NEEDS a nap...or watch out world.
She naps from 1-2 hours a day and goes to bed at 8 pm-ish no matter how late she wakes from that nap (yesterday she woke up at close to 4 pm)

Re: Naps and 2 year olds!
What time do you put her down for the nap? I wake my DS by 3:30 otherwise he is in his room and wide awake till at least 9:30. He normally goes to bed at 8-8:30. The times he doesn't nap he is fine and has no meltdowns during the rest of the day - but he wakes in the night, either crying for awhile or just wide awake, which is why he must still have a nap.
