Naples/Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Hotel Recs

DH and I will be going to see ILs in West Palm next week. We usually just stay at their house but are looking to take a 1 night trip somewhere within a 1-2 hour drive.

We are looking into the W and Fountainbleu in Miami but I'd be very open to a slightly less expensive hote (those are running closer to $500 per night). Looking to spend around $300 a night at most.

If nothing in Miami, does anyone have a suggestion in Naples or Ft. Lauderdale?

I recently stayed at the Betsy in Miami and it was awesome. Or, try the Boca Beach Club. You can never go wrong there, I've stayed many times and my parents are actually there now.

The Ritz Carlton in Manalapan (just south of West palm) is beautiful, as is the Ritz in Ft Lauderdale. We have gotten decent rates at both in the past. I was NOT overly impressed with the 4 Seasons though.

I'm not sure, but it is on the water so it can't be too far

We've stayed at the Naples Grande Resort and the Ritz in Naples - both were really great!

The Naples Grande was a shorter stay because we were meeting my cousin and her kids for 2 nights. The kids loved all the activities they had by the pool. You have to take a short golf cart ride to the beach though.

The Ritz had a great pool, great restaurants, and is on the beach.

I LOVE Naples!!

The Ritz Carlton is beautiful!

We have stayed at the LaPlaya. It's a beautiful hotel & I love the beaches there. It's one of the resort vacations that Regis & Kelly always give away. Here's the link if you're interested...

Thanks all! The Naples hotels recommended are either booked or $800--they look gorgeous though! I actually think we are going to end up at the Gansevoort in Miami--thanks for all your help!

Don't know if you booked yet but look into the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood,FL. The pool is great & the hotel is amazing! Also, not far fom Ft Lauderdale.

I was going to recommend the Naples Grande as well - it's a Waldorf Astoria. Very nice hotel, was there for a conference.

Re: Naples/Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Hotel Recs

we just stayed T the fountainbleau for 2 nights without the children.... I must say we have not been to such a fantastic resort since our Honeymoon. It wAs expensive but worth every penny!!!!! We did not leave the resort.

we were upgraded to a ocean front with balcony room. The rooms were beautiful with a free I Mac computer with wifi. It was just beautiful. we were in the original tower on the14th floor We spent one day at there Spa which was out of this world.vTge best spa experience ever. The best part is that you are allowed to use the facilities all day even after having your facial or massage... we ate at 2 opt there restaurants which also have locations in NYC. Gotham bar and grille and Scarpetta. The food was phenomenal and service was great. The pools were great but get there early to get a great seat.

for us who haven not been away without the kids forever, it was like we were in heaven.

My inlays just recently stayed at the W and loved it..
