Napa hotels?

Please give me your hotel suggestions for the Napa area. We are going in late October or early November and I would like something a little luxurious. Also, how far a drive is it from San Francisco? If we were going to spend a few days in each, which would you do first? Thank you in advance!!

We stayed in Sonoma instead of Napa. We stayed at the Fairmont in Sonoma. It was absolutely beautiful. The concierge was very helpful in helping us book tours for wine tasting.

One day we had a rented limo just take us around to 3 or 4 wineries that we picked. The next day we did a private escorted tour with Jack Swanson. OMG! It was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

We learned so much and went to so many wineries I had never heard of which are now my favorite wines!

We did San Francisco first and then spent a few days in Sonoma and then drove back to SF for our last night.

The drive from SF to Sonoma is about an hour with no traffic. Sonoma and Napa are about 5 miles from each other.

We stayed near Sonoma instead and loved it since it was more low-key- also drove out to SF- maybe an hour away with traffic.
