Nap Schedule for 2.5 month old
Is it possible? My DS is a great sleeper at night. 5 out of 7 nights he goes down at 8pm sleeps till 4:30am or so, then eats and goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours. Sometimes he sleeps straight through till 6am or 7am. Rarely (maybe 1x every 2 weeks) he will wake up 2x a night. I know I am lucky. I am wondering if it is possible to start a nap scheudle. During the day he takes several naps but never consistent times. Some will be 20min cap naps some will be 2.5 hours. Is it too early to start a nap schedule, how wouldl i do it. Should I just look at the everyday patterns and go by that? Will he make his own scheudle as he gets bigger?

Nap Schedule for 2.5 month old
DD is 5 months and her nap times still vary by an hour or more although we're starting to get more consistent.
At 2.5 months we had started eat, play, sleep so we at least had a predictable routine. She would stay up for an hour (sometimes as long as two hours) before taking her next nap. We repeated all day which gave her 3-4 naps a day.

Sounds like my dd. 2.5 months is too early IMO. I'm just starting to get a nap schedule now at 4 months. I would just jot down the times for about a week or so and see if there are any patterns.
What I've found are that naps begin at 9-10, 12-1, and the third nap is still a mystery for my dd. that ends up all over the place. As for how long she naps...ugh 30 mins here, 30 mins there, and then sometimes ill get a 1-1.5hr nap from her.

DS didn't really start to show any sort of pattern until the last 2 or 3 weeks and he's 5 1/2 months. Even now they're still inconsistent, but we can usually count on at least two 30-45 min naps and one 1+ hour nap a day sometime around 9am, 12pm & 5pm (he's usually up for the day between 7-7:30am).

Re: Nap Schedule for 2.5 month old
My DD is 3.5 months, and we still have no consistent nap schedule. I'm hoping one establishes itself soon. It probably doesn't help that she's in daycare 3 days, with my MIL 2, then with me in the late afternoons, nights, and weekends. It makes it hard to have consistency. The only thing that I know is that in the morning, she is usually up for about an hour before needing a nap, but the length of time she sleeps for varies. On the weekends, we're usually out and about, so I feel like it's hard to get her to nap at a consistent time.
We generally do eat, play, sleep, and with me, DD stays up for 1.5-2 hours between naps. Sometimes it's longer, but then she often gets overtired and cranky, making it harder to sleep.
