Nap ?

Alex has transitioned to 1 nap a day but he hardly ever naps for more than 1.5 hours. Is this normal? It always seems like he is tired. I have a hard time with him towards the end of the day because he is cranky and rubbing his eyes. I don't know what to do. I have tried moving the nap time around but it really doesn't change the duration.

Mom's of those on one nap a day how long is that nap and at what time? Alex is 17 months old and I don't think that he is getting enough nap time.

Re: Nap ?

Well Jake is still on 2 naps a day at almost 14 months but let me ask - when is his bedtime? Maybe you need to move it up a bit?

My DD will be 17 months in a week and she takes 1 nap, usually between 10-11. She sleeps for anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours. She also goes to bed around 7-7:30 and wakes between 6-7.

So I guess his schedule seems good. This is usually how our day goes. Does your DD get tired in the late afternoon?

I work from home and usually take her outside at 5 so she gets a little bit of a second wind but she does get a little tired in the afternoon. It makes putting her to sleep easier. We try to wait until 7 for bedtime. Lately she has been asking for a bottle (yes, we're still on 1 bottle a dayChat Icon ) around 6:30. Her way of telling us she's tired.
