Nanny Salary
Can anyone share with me what they pay their nanny and for how many kids and what hours? Feel free to FM if you dont want to post.
I have a nanny now that we share with my nephew, and with DD2 on the way we were looking to hire the nanny just for my two kids. I think what she is asking for is too high, but maybe my expectations are off.
We are looking for someone for 2 kids (ages 2 and 3 months) M-F 8-6. Any idea what the going rate is? We live in Queens if it makes a difference.

Where in Queens? For one child the rates can go between 450 to 600. Multiple children (depending on age) can vary between 500 to 750.

I'm in Queens.
I paid my nanny $12/hr for the same hours.
She was on the lower end. Most asked between $12-$15/hr, so I think $600-$700 is mid-range.
$500 is extremely low and anything above $750 would be extremely high.
ETA: I have 2 kids, hours were M-F 8-6

I would say $14 an hour for 2 kids full time... So that's...$700

We are are near Manhattan...we pay our nanny $575 plus transportation (subway) in cash. We have 1 baby and she works 8am-6pm 5 days a week.
