Nanny Away - DD won't take bottle...
DD is EBF, except during the day when she's with the nanny. During the day she will drink anywhere from 20-25oz of my pumped BM.
Our nanny is on vacation and today DD only drank 5oz with my mom. When I came home from work she nursed like a champ.
Any tips on what I can do to get DD to take a bottle from someone other than the nanny while I'm at work? She did this the other weekend with DH, but I didn't think much of it, until now...
DD eats 3 meals a day so not drinking a ton would be ok, but she HAS to drink more than 5oz in a 10 hour window!!
HELP

Nanny Away - DD won't take bottle...
Your mom just needs to keep trying. I wouldn't stress about it at all, esp since she's eating 3 meals. It's short term!
ETA: Just make sure your mom offers her the bottle BEFORE her meals.
ETA2: She is probably making up for it by taking more in when she's nursing. Just remind yourself this is temporary!

Ok thank you. I'm so stressed out about it. I gave her extra oatmeal this am (with extra BM) just in case. Lol!

How old is your LO? If she's taking 3 meals a day, it's ok to drink less milk.

is your mom doing it exactly the same way your nanny does? same position, etc?
i wouldnt stress it too much, she may be making it up when you get home and she nurses with you

Exact same. Today she's home with DH and she won't eat from him either. This is totally stressing me out!
I wouldn't freak out too much if this wasn't so out of character for her. Most days she drinks anywhere from 20-30oz (in addition to the 3 times I nurse her). While I know 30oz is a bit extreme, she never drinks less than 20.
She's 11 months. I'm hoping to nurse for another month or so and then transition her to WCM. I'm nervous that when I stop nursing she won't take a bottle from me either!
I'm tempted to call the dr to ask them about it and what advice they may have for me. I cannot wait to get home tonight!!

At 11 months she really only needs 2-3 "bottles" a day. If you're BFing in the morning and at night, then only taking 1 5 oz bottle during the day is totally normal. 30 oz/day + BFing sounds like too much.
Just try to relax, your baby won't starve herself!
