Re: name survey
It's funny, when I was a kid, my mom had the baby name book she used when she was pregnant and that name was listed for both boys and girls--I LOVED it for a girl and that's what I wanted to name my future DD. Mind you no one had ever even heard of that name before, so it was almost gender-neutral.
20 years later, no I would not use that name for a girl.

Re: name survey
Sorry, have to agree with everyone else. Not for a girl - especially now that it is kind of a popular boys name

Re: name survey
Love it for a boy but not for a girl. I LOVE names that go both ways........girl or boy but I don't think that Aidan is one of those names. Sorry.

Re: name survey
Since the majority of people view this as a boy's name, if you name your DD this, she could have trouble later on.
At sleep-away camp my sister had a female friend named Ryan. They accidentally placed Ryan in the boys dorm the first day because of her name.
My best friend's older sister is named Leigh. When she got into the working world, she was constantly referred to as "Mr" because most people thought her first name was masculine. She ended up changing her name to Jenny- her middle name is Jennifer.

Re: name survey
I agree, it would be hard for a girl to be named that. My mom has a traditionally "male" name, and it give her such headaches, even at 52 years old How about for a middle name?
