How do you pronouce this name?
Caitlyn/Caitlin
I keep hearing two different pronuciations of this name - one I like and one I can't stand.

I always thought it was pronounced as Kate Lynn - but recently on TV I have been hearing it pronouced as Kite Lynn and I really don't like that. We are thinking of Caitlyn for a girl but that has been holding me back.

that's what I would think. When you hear it the other way does the person have an accent? I can see someone Scottish or Irish pronouncing it the way you describe.
I think bayb names has the pronunciation option with the names.

I know what you mean, that Geico commercial says the name funny and I am always like what are they saying
