Nail Salon---Commack???
I haven't had my nails professionally done since my wedding 5 years ago. Now I'm pregnant and can't reach and toes! I really need a mani-pedi and want to go to a CLEAN place. Anyone have any recommendations?

Nail Salon---Commack???
Its kind of pricey, but when I want a "special" mani/pedi, I go to Mist Spa - its on Jericho Tnpk, just west of Commack Rd (sort of across the street from the fire dept).

Thanks! I don't mind paying $$$ if its reputable and clean. I'm so paranoid about getting an infection, especially while pregnant.

I go to Honey Delight in Commack. The prices are very reasonable, it's clean, and everyone is really nice. I have been going there for years.

Mist is under new ownership very recently. It's still a nice atmosphere but I think that the service may change. The previous manager was a top notch spa manager who paid attention to every detail. Her ex-boyfriend sold the business out from under her after she built it up working 7 days a week. Anyway, I figured you might not know, so if things are different next time you go, that is why. It's still very nice and their pedicure chairs are the most comfortable around. I just don't know if it will be the same place that I was raving about for a long time. I don't know anyone who didn't love it after they tried it.

Wow, that's awful! The original owner was really involved and made sure everything was just right. I went there for a massage and mani/pedi the day before my wedding in 2011 and it was soooo relaxing! I went back a few times after that and loved it. I'll give it a try again - hopefully its still worth the little splurge.

Her boyfriend was listed as the corporation owner. They broke up. He sold it with no notice at all to her. I spoke to her on facebook. She said it all happened very quickly. I was just wondering if he knew the sale was in the works before they even broke up. She's the sweetest girl.

I just went there for the first time last weekend. I had no idea about any of this but the lady sitting across from while drying told me it was under new ownership.
FWIW it was clean and nice. The staff was attentive. I can't compare it to the old owner or staff, but I would go back and try it again.
