Nail clipping spinoff, toes?
Any tips to get my toddler to let me clip her toes? DD's toe nails are getting so long and she will have nothing to do with getting them trimmed. Other than trying to do it while she's engrossed in a show, which no longer works, I don't even know what to try. While she's sleeping is not an option.

DH and I tag team it. He holds her down and I cut. DD's toe nails curl into her toes, so I HAVE to make sure I keep them short, so we do what we have to do.

DS loves "this little piggy". So I try and quickly clip a toenail here and there as I do "this little piggy" over and over until it's all done. He still isn't thrilled with the clipping part but it works. GL!

My dh sits him on his lap & plays a game with him on his kindle while I cut his toe nails.

DD screams bloody murder when doing her toe nails. Before u even touch her she screams that it hurts, lol! DH usually hold her down while I clip. After the third toe she realizes it really doesn't hurt and will calm down a little bit. Recently while I was by myself clipping g her toe nails I bribed her with a sheet of stickers.

We have to do this for her fingers and toes.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll definitely be trying some. DH is no help which is part of the problem. He is afraid to do the clipping and whenever I ask him to hold her down he's afraid to hurt her and doesn't keep her still. Definitely better off on my own!

I let her hold a different pair of nail clippers and clip her toes and say "CLIP" for each clip and laugh. Sometimes we clip her baby's nails and toenails too. And I say "CLIP" for each clip on the baby too. She thinks it's funny and I can usually get them all. We do it about once a week.

Love this idea, I think she would love it. She takes the magnetic clips off my fridge and pretend they're nail clippers so I may be able to get away with having her hold one of those. Definitely trying that. Thanks!
