Haha never. There is a thread on this in Travel if you want to look. We really did it as an aside though to the North Pole Express, which was awesome.

Re: mystic seaport
Last time I was there was about 5 years ago. I had no kids then.
I thought it was nicely done. Very musical (singing actors).
I'd say that at least 5 years old is a good age. The kid has to imagine well and be able to listen to a story line.
It can be easily done with the aquarium and Newport.

Re: mystic seaport
We took our DD to Mystic at age 2 and she had a blast. Looooooved the aquarium, liked the seaportrt and all the boats, and we even went to the casinos during the day and shopped and had lunch.......she loved that too. It's a nice weekend getaway.
If you go on the Mystic Seaport website they offer a Mystic pass that saves money while you're visiting.

We took our DD in the fall and she was about 15 months. We had a great time! We only stayed one night but we did the aquarium and the seaport. The seaport has a little childrens play area as well and she had a blast in there. The town was cute to walk through also.
