Mystic Aquarium and Ferry
What are the opinions on Mystic Aquarium?
Worth it? Better than Riverhead?
Has anyone taken the Ferry there?
We live in Western Suffolk and were thinking of taking this as a day trip next week.

It's bigger than Atlantis, has a really cool jelly fish tank. We take the ferry frequently (out of Orient). Nice relaxing ride (about 90 mins) and Mystic is really close to New London. I think it's worth a day trip.

I think Mystic is a wonderful day trip. We are going in 2 weeks but staying 2 nights and doing other stuff in the area. I would totally do a day trip there though- I agree with PP, much nicer than LI aquarium!

Sooooo much better then Riverhead. We took our DD there when she was almost 2. She loved the ferry ride (we did the Orient ferry), the aquarium, seeing all the ships at the seaport. We had a nice few days. It's a good little trip.......I would totally go. If you take the Orient Ferry once you're in CT, you're about 15 min from Mystic.

Mystic Aquarium and Ferry
So glad you asked this. We're thinking about going up to the area for a weekend. What else is there to do around there? We want to do a long weekend.
