Myrtle Beach with a 15 month old
Hi everyone. I am going on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach (we are flying) at the end of August. It will be our first family vacation with DS. Any recommendations of things to do down there? Also, what is a good checklist for items to bring? **Our other family members plan to go to Myrtle Waves (waterpark), personally, I think it is a waste of money and might opt out. Any feedback?
TIA!

I'm heading down there this weekend with my 13 month old and 4 year old. I'll let you know when I come back! I've heard nothing but great things. I think the waterpark might be tough. I would check online for height restrictions. They are usually posted.
Here are some things I'm bringing for baby:
Pack N Play Beach tent/umbrella Pool raft (a small one made for babies) stroller (w/ rain cover) Swim diapers

I wouldn't do Myrtle Waves - there isn't much for a 15 month old to do and it probably will be hot while you are there.
I usually get my swim diapers and such down there - Super Walmart is my first stop.
We go at least once a year every year. When DS was 17 months last year, he really enjoyed the resort pool, the ocean, Brookgreen Gardens (a beautiful place with a small zoo just south of Myrtle), Broadway at the Beach (across from Myrtle Waves), and listening to live music at different places.
Enjoy your trip!

Re: Myrtle Beach with a 15 month old
I just got back from there. We stayed at the Dunes, so they have an indoor water park, which was GREAT to break from the sun, days of rain showers, & at night. My 23mo & 4 1/2yo had a great time. We didn't waste our time or money on all the touristy stuff.
