Any recommendations? Would prefer to be on the beach.

Re: Myrtle Beach hotels
When are you looking to go? We are going the 3rd week in July. We are staying at the Wyndham ocean dunes, part of a time share promo, don't know if it is anything great.

If you're looking to do an exchange, good luck! I've looked before and come up empty handed. And we own a gold crown resort during Christmas week- so we have high trading power, and there's never anything for Myrtle in July except the occasional hotel room, which is too small for us. If you're willing to go in August you may have more options, but it will still be limited. Sorry to be a downer, that's just our experience with RCI.

I tried for August too through RCI and found nothing. Good Luck.
I ended up just coming out of pocket for a 1 bedroom at Avista in North Myrtle in August.

Myrtle Beach hotels
What network is your timeshare in? Marriott has nice resorts on the water as part of Interval International. Starwood has a nice resort as well but, it's not on the water, it's closer to Broadway at the Beach.
If you are looking for a non-timeshare place, we always stay at the Myrtle Beach Resort.

Gave up on using RCI ...only thing they had was next town over and not on the water.
So just looking for regular hotels now...

Check out Avista Resort and Bay Watch Towers. I booked Avista for August.
