My Space for business???
I admit, I don't have a my space page. I guess I always figured it was for dirty old men, guys & gals looking to cheat on their spouses and college kids. I guess it just never appealed to me, BTDT when I was like 21 years old so I figured a married professional with a child would not be my space's "target audience".  .
The thing is, someone suggested I utilize my space as a business tool. I am confused by this. They suggested I set up a my space page for my business. He said I would get TONS of business from it. Who has done this? Granted this person was an attorney (a male attorney) who was a little sleezy and I meet him at a morning networking meeting today. I told him I would think about it and he was really being pushy about it. As if he owned my space or something. The skeptical New Yorker in me was like "yeah right, sleezebag  " (on the inside) on the outside I said :" thanks for the info  ".
So what are your thoughts?
A) Sleezebag attorney trying to pick up a married woman (me) at a networking event?
or
B) My Space is actually a smart way to market your business?

there are alot of My Space "business" type website. Fox, famous musicans and even people that want to be somebody are on My Space...
My Space is one of he biggest places to network and most importantly its free...
People that add "Your business" as a friend will result in there friends see your busiess as a friend may result into some leads as they want to check out other my space pages....
something to consider...z100 is on myspace along with many radio stations...

WOW. I guess after having a child I now live under a rock. I am in the RE business (title insurance), not sure it that would work for me.

well, my space and things like you tube don't work for all. most people see my space and you tube for kids and teenagers but many adults utlize these sites for important reasons....i would do some searches...you never know what you will come across as the internet is such a huge place
