My son has turned into Oedipus!! BTDT help needed!
So, in the 10 days now that I have been home, Christopher has turned into Oedipus He wants Mama all the time, if I am in the room, he wants to be near me, and if I leave the room he follows or throws a screaming fit.
This morning, when DH got home I was still asleep and Chris said he went into Christopher's room and Christopher saw him and stamped his foot, pouted and sat back down in the crib until Chris said to him "let's go see Mommy" and he got up and started dancing in the crib
Its hard b/c Chris works nights, so Christopher sees him for a few hours in the morning, and then a little bit at night, but how can I break this habit? Is it a phase?
Help!

What is probably going on is because he is with you so much more than your DH your the favored one. Plus the whole Mommy's boy thing. I remember Damien doing stuff like that when he was about the same age. He never wanted my DH only me, especially since he was with me all day long at day care and only saw my DH at night. Jaidy however wants us both equally unless she is tired then it is all Mommy (looking for boob ). She is definitely a Daddy's Girl.

We've got serious "Mommy! Mommy!" clinginess going on over here too 
And she's also obsessed with my hair. It's become her "lovey". Whenever she needs comfort...up in my arms and she grabs a piece of my hair and rubs it on her face or between her fingers.
It's cute....the first 100x

DS is like this too...i was told lil boys want their mommies non stop until age 2, i hope that theory holds true. bc he follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom

Yes I think its a phase.
When Megan was his age, she did the same exact thing. Although I felt flattered and loved it, it drove me nuts! Once we went to the supermarket and she threw a fit because her aunt (her favorite person usuaully) was holding her hand and when I walked away, Megan screamed and screamed. I couldnt walk into another room without her. She would literally push my dh away and scream for me. It last like a month with her and then it was over. Hopefully its the same for you. As much as its so nice they love Mommy so much, its also REALLY stressful at the same time!

Its because your home now and he is trying to get all the you time he can.
eta- Noah is totally like that with Danny on the weekends.

Its not a habit that can be broken. Its probably just a phase, although, in my experience, boys really do prefer their mommies. I have 2 little boys who want me 24/7.

It's a phase that comes and goes. They go back and forth. He will then prefer daddy for awhile and then switch back to Mommy.
