My poor little girl has a fractured elbow-Update
Kiera fell off a chair yesterday at my mom's house and after a long day of going to 2 doctors, the ER and having a bunch of X-Ray's done it was finally determined that she has a fractured elbow and an ear infection. The ear infection is most likely what caused her to fall. So my poor baby girl has her arm in a full arm splint. She has to keep it elevated, which is a lot of fun trying to make a 2 year old do. She's suppose to wear a sling but she's refusing to wear it. But I have to say through it all she's been a trooper. She hasn't really complained about anything and her spirits have been great. I think DH and I are more upset with the whole thing than she is. Seeing her get the X-Rays done was just awful. She was so scared and I just felt so helpless. I wanted to cry so badly but I held back knowing that I needed to be strong for her.
Sorry, I just needed to share with everyone. It's one of those experiences that I had hoped I would never have to go through as a mother. 
Update 11/22:
We took Kiera to the doctor yesterday. She will be in a splint for 2-3 more weeks and we have to keep the sling on her as well. He thinks she will heal quickly and nicely but only time will tell. There may be growth problems because the elbow doesn't fully develop until the 2nd year of life. He said she's at a low risk for growth problems but again we have to wait and see what develops over time.
He said the fracture was a soft and clean fracture and that if there's an easy fracture to go through this is the kind. Kiera seems to be adjusting to the sling and she's not complaining about the pain as much. DH and I are exhausted, physically and emotionally. But we're getting through it. I'm hoping that when we go back in 2 weeks the doctor says that it looks great and we can take the splint off.

Thank you everyone for the feel better wishes. Kiera has been adjusting nicely to life in a splint. And she's really doing a great job using her left hand for everything. I know she's in some pain from time to time but she mostly seems unaffected by the injury. We have a follow up with the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully he'll say that the splint can come off the next week. Keep your fingers crossed for Kiera!!

I hope she's feeling better soon and you did well not crying, that'd be hard for me to do too. But sometimes you just can't help it, these things happen! (easy for me to say now, just wait till I have to go through it, and I'm sure I will!)
