My PIO experience!
Morning ladies!! Today was day 1 of PIO, and like some of you mentioned it was not as bad as I thought it would be. The worst part was the puncture and Edwin throwing up . I know I shouldn't laugh, but I couldn't help myself.
As some of you know, Edwin (DH) is "deathly" afraid of needles, but figured since he has been doing so well with the other injections, this would be no biggie. Wrong! I prepped the injection, numbed the site, warmed the syringe in my hand for 5 mins, and then told him it was time. He took one look at the needle, turned baby-poo green and ran to the bathroom and threw up. After a couple of minutes, he pulled himself together, had some water and gave me the shot. He can be such a wimp.
Thanks for the tips on the other thread. The heating pad felt great afterwards.

Re: My PIO experience!
First off, he did the shot!!!! My DH could not do that, so I have been getting a nurse to help me with them. But, this up and coming FET, I am planning to do them myself. Its hard to have someone come to your house at 9pm every night etc... especially when its cold and dark out (can't make plans etc...). I have no idea how I'm going to work it out myself, maybe....maybe, DH will help me. But, mine will faint. I'm serious. So, I give your DH big
Shoot before I gave myself my first subQ shot I almost drove myself into an anxiety attack. Then I just did it and I was like...oh wow...didn't even feel that...

Re: My PIO experience!
LOL...your poor DH! I thought mine would never be able to do it. He has been known to get woozy and nauseous watching medical shows on TV. Somehow though, he has managed to suck it up and prepare the injection and give it to me every night for over 40 nights now!
I'm glad the actual injection wasn't too bad for you.
