my other salon choices. help me decide
Symmety in Stony Brook....heard good things but it would be new to me & I would need advice on who to use.
Sivana in St. James....great reviews on the boards. I have never been there.
Meridian in E/Npt/Commack......Jack did my hair for over 20 years. I followed him from other locations. I would go back but I got tired of the "scene" there & it can be an all day affair to get a haircut there.
Salon 3028. I've been to Rob there & would go again. He worked at Meridian years ago and I followed him because I always saw his cuts & liked them even though I had been Jack's customer. I didn't really stop going to him for any specifc reason.
Jack and Rob both still have customers I recommended so I am comfortable going back.
Or New Level in Ronkonkoma, where I just stopped in for a bang trim but I liked the girl, Michelle, a lot.
(not a fan of T. Carltun after having been to the spa, hear mixed reviews about Bocu, been to Cactus but it is not a favorite).

I use Jess at Sivana and she's fabulous. She does Lily's hair also.

I love Rob at Salon 3028. In fact, I was just there last night. I went to him at Meridian years ago and went to other places in between (I live a good drive from there), but never loved my hair as much as I do when he does it!

Michelle at Off 7th in Centereach is great. I know it wasn't on your list, but I love it there. I got the recommendation from someone on LIF. I also got color by another woman, Erin, she was great too. She does cut and color and so does Michelle.

Thanks. I heard good things about Off 7th also from someone who lives nearby.
I'm really all over the place with this decision. I also found out that the salon I went to 20 years ago when I lived in Pittsburgh has a NYC location and the all of the staff has taken the owner's training classes. It happens to be near the office of doctor I see in NYC. Back in the day, the salon & products saved my hair from damage from the hard water they had in Pittsburgh. It's called Tela Salon in NY and it is Phillip Pelusi in Pittsburgh.
Right this minute I am leaning toward going back to Rob at Salon 3028 but I still want to know who else might be good.

Rob is a good friend of my DH and my DH has been going to him for years. I used to go to him as well and was always happy but my girlfriend who lives closer now does hair out of her house so I go to her. For color I used Kelly at salon 3028. She is awesome as well
