My morning in L&D..
Well I have been having BH alll day everyday for the past 2-3 weeks. They never really have a pattern and I usually get a few an hour but never too many to make me crazy. Well last night I noticed I was hving a LOT of them so I timed them- they were coming about 3-6 min. apart. Now they weren't painful and I had had a pretty bad day so I decided to wait it out. I was able to go to sleep and slept all night (really good nights sleep too!!). I woke up this morning to find that I was still having them so I called the office. They had me go to L&D and sure enough I was having some nice contractions! They checked my cervix and it was closed and high which is good, meaning these contractions are not labor contractions. So they gave me the terbutaline shot which stopped them right away (made me so shakey though!!) and tomorrow I go back in for a sono to make sure everything looks good. I asked how I'm supposed to know what real labor is (as this is my first!) and he said the contractions will be more painful and more regular. So for now I am just supposed to take it easy and drink lots of water- but baby Gavin is staying put!!!

Sounds like an exciting morning. I'm glad it was a false alarm though. That baby still needs to cook some more!
