My mom got me the best gift ever!!!
As many ladies here know, DD was having a terrible time latching, making BFing impossible, in turn, making me a crying mess. She went out with DH yesterday and brought me this:
OMG I am so happy, I am in tears! DD and is nursing and I am so so happy! The ped said to use the shield and we would worry about weaning her down the road-i am less stressed and she in turn is happier-she nurses both sides and then I pump-DH will give her BM bottles for one night feeding.
Best part-my milk is in and I have an awesome supply! I get 2ozs per breast after nursing!

thats great michelle!! the LC at winthrop gave it to me day 2 and it changed my life!!! the only problem was DS would not latch without it. but worry about that later. i would get a couple of them. they're easy to lose.

HOORAY!!!
Nipple Shields are def what got me over the initial breast feeding hump!! If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be breastfeeding now, a year later!

I have two so far. When I lose the first, I will have DH get another-we are 5 minutes from BRU, which makes life easier!
