My IVF Consult with Dr. Stelling RSofNY
Last AMH .60
FSH this month went up to 20 (But that was CD4, I don’t know if that makes a difference)
Dr. says with low AMH alone, I was looking at a 15-20% success with IVF (Just looking at numbers) Now that my FSH decided to go up to 20, that drastically changed things and now going off the numbers alone, I am at 5%. He said that can all change once he gets embryos and sees their quality. If they are perfect, then we can be up there in the 50/50 range. But with my numbers, he doubts the chances will be that high. Of course, we’ll know nothing unless we try.
So we decided that if this cycle doesn’t work out, we will be starting our one and only IVF cycle when AF arrives. Most likely mid October.
He wants me on BCP for at least 7 days
Femara for 5 Days
Gonal F 450 per day
Menopur 2 Viles a day
Ganirelix for 5 days
Endometrin after Transfer
He said Stims for 10 days or so. I guess we’ll know more once I’m going through it and see how I am responding. Also will tweak meds if needed during that time.
We will put back 2 at time of transfer.
Lala08’s generosity donating her meds to me helps make it possible. I will be on a lot and the cost of meds alone would be unbelievable. So thank you so so much Lala08 and I’ll see you Thursday night.
I am excited and petrified all at once. Hearing 5% really bummed me out. He said he would have never offered that information because going by numbers can never be 100% but I asked so he told me.
Hoping a miracle happens and I get pregnant this cycle. Odds of that are less then the worst of my odds for IVF. It looks like I will be on my final cycle in October. Hopefully God was saving the best for last.

Stay positive! My AMH was lower and FSH higher and I had success... with embies to freeze. I think age plays a big role and you're still young. GOOD LUCK!!

I'm sorry hun, hang in there! Try not to focus on the numbers and stats. They are not always correct and can vary greatly! I am in the same boat with DOR. Hoping for a miracle baby for us both! Have faith!

I understand how you feel. I have basically the same situation (and i go to RSofNY). My AMH is also .6. Doc said it makes it harder, but not impossible. I was on the same meds you were on. It nerve-racking, but we have to stay positive!!

My Amh is .08 so I am worse off then you but have faith that this will somehow work. Hang in there xoxo

Have you thought of doing acupuncture? If this is your one shot, I'd go all in!
Also, please let me know if you still need more
Meds. I have a bunch leftover, and if all goes well over the next couple weeks, I can give you what I have.

Omg yes thank you. I may still need some. After I get the meds from lala tonight, I'm going to figure out everything I have and call the NP back to ask her what I'm missing. I may be able to get it straight from rsny but if I can't and you have it to give that would be great. As of now it looks like I'll be starting injections the week of oct 20th.
I told DH last night that I should go back to acupuncture for this. I stopped going when I knew we would be doing this to save some money but not that we are spending a fortune, I don't see how spending a few more hundred will do!
