My first weekend away

Tonight we leave for Vegas. I am going straight from work. I can't believe it- it is my first weekend away from DD. I only left her overnight once with my mom and sister 30 blocks away. I dropped her off after dinner and picked her up when we woke up.

I am very excited! Dh and I need this time alone. And the fact that its Vegas- and a nice hotel-definitely adds some fun to it. I am mostly looking forward to sleeping until I wake up. No baby waking me up

But I am also sad. I can't believe how much I am going to miss her.

Jordana woke up at 4:30 this morning and would not go back to sleep. I got up at 5:30 to do some work. I think she knew I was up and wanted to play with me. We had such a great morning playing.

I am so torn. Its like 3 whole nights away from her

Three whole days away from her.

I am sure it will be hard but you and DH will have soo much fun. Enjoy the sleep and staying up as late as you want with no responsibilities in the morn!!

Awwwwww....You are going to have a GREAT time!!!!
Enjoy sleeping in! Enjoy taking your time eating! Enjoy relaxing by the pool! Enjoy not changing poopie diapers for a few days!!!!

I understand how you feel - we just planned our first trip away and I am counting down the days to it - and dreading it at the same time.

I am sure you will have a BLAST - you deserve the alone time, so have FUN!!

Count your blessings that you have someone you trust with Jordana for 3 days, and enjoy every single moment you are away, knowing there are some poor souls in this world who will never have the opportunity to travel without their children until they are 18

No, really, there's no way you can avoid missing her, but try to focus on all the fun you're going to have. Can't wait to see the pics!!
