my first appt tomorrow & im nervous

according to my LMC and the online calculations today is my 6th week of my pregnancy, I took about 5 pregnancy tests, all came back :) & ofcourse AF never showed up so obviously I'm pregnant
I am so excited about tomorrow for the doctor to confirm our pregnancy but at the same time im so nervous, i read about chemical pregnancies and all this other stuff, im nervous.
can you tell me ladies tell me that its ok to be nervous.

Also can someone tell me what I should expect tomorrow at the doctor visit

I want to tell you not to be nervous but I know it's easier said than done.

They'll most likely take a bunch of blood. Urine sample, blood pressure and weigh you. It's a good idea for your DH to come with you (if he can, if he can't no biggie) only because your OB will ask lots of medical background and genetic questions about both of you, i.e. family disease histories, so she knows if there's any specific she should be screening for above and beyond the norm.

And, if you're lucky, they'll do an ultrasound. Not all the time since you're still super-early but they might. Also, DO NOT freak out if they do an ultrasound and you don't see anything. Going by your LMP could be slightly off and you may not have O'd exactly when you think you did, therefore you could even be a week or so behind what you think you are. Doesn't mean you're not pregnant, cause of course you are, but it may be too early to see anything, that's all. If that's the case, you'll definitely see somethinig at your next appt.

Dont worry your appointment will go great tomorrow!!!

I cant say for sure what your appointment will be like.. but both my first appointments were the same:

They did a pap smear, the urine pregnancy test and an internal check. Gave me script for bloodwork to have done, and folder full of paperwork about what to expect the next 9 months.

Then second apt we had the first sono.

How exciting! At my first appt. I had a PAP, bloodwork and an internal exam. It was pretty quick and at my first OB appt. there was more bloodwork and a chat with the dr. about food, excercise, etc.

I was really nervous too for my first appointment but so excited at the same time! I took 8 tests and they all said BFP but still was thinking they would tell me it was a no, you are pregnant!!! It will just make it more real for you!

It is so unreal at the first appt. You still have that thought that it is not true. At my first appt they did a sono, and you see alittle sac. Don't worry you will have a great appt, and it will start to feel real. Especially when you see the ladies with the bumps, and you get excited!
