My favorite new coffee maker!
Heres the thing, I tried the Keurig, 3 of them to be exact and they ALL broke. Yes, they can be fixed with some effort (pin in the holes to clear them out, run vinegar) BUT I shouldnt have to work that hard to get my coffee to make me a damn cup of coffee. I went back to a classic coffee maker with a carafe but I missed the ONE cup of coffee. Yes, I can do that with the classic, but its not as convenient. SO in my hunt, I came across this one, a single serve coffee maker but NOT a Keurig, NO Pods or anything. Has a teeny tiny mesh filter, and water reservoir and one button. I can add as little or as many grinds as I want, as little or as much water as I want to get my coffee just the way I like it. It only makes 1 cup at a time. You cant fill the reservoir and it dispenses a certain amt of liquid. I like my coffee strong, so I do lots of grinds and less water than recommended. I love that I just rinse the filter and Im good to go for the next cup, I dont have to buy pods, I can just use my favorite coffee, it doesnt clog on me, etc.
Just wanted to share for all of you in the same boat.

That's great! I'll have to check this out! I HATE Keurig with a passion. I like strong coffee too and I feel like Keurig is weak in comparison.

We got rid of our Keurig a while ago and too have gone to a regular coffee maker.... We still had the one my husband swears by. He drinks a lot of coffee and the one clippers were a pain for him..
It is a Capresso coffee maker he got years ago and he totally enjoys it!

I have something similar that we use during the week and we also love it! Less waste as far as those little pod containers and you do have have to clean the pot AND the thermos...you just clean the thermos.

DH doesn't drink coffee, so I make mine one cup at a time. I use a pour over porcelain filter. Takes me just a couple of minutes to boil the water.
I have a larger version for when I need to make a full pot.

We use grinds for our Keurig. It is more cost efficient for us. I bought something similar to what you have for my vacation home and over time it takes longer and longer for a cup of coffee to brew. I am back to my Keurig with the reusable filter and am happy.
Eta: grammatical errors. Also I will look into this for my vacation home.

It is, its a great little machine and for $25 bucks you cant beat it. Im on like month 4 with it and its still going strong! Cant be it if you are like me and SO OVER the Keurig.
