my DD needs to play, help me with activities/toys

My dd is 3 months old.. and has so much energy. she loves the bouncy seat and the toys on it. she loves her swing and listening to the music and watching the mobile But she HATES the floor mats she doesnt quite know what to do with them. we use the tummy time one but that only lasts a good 10 mins...i feel like she gets way to bored with just the swing and chair

so heres my 2 questions..

1. What kind of "play" do you do with your 3 month old?

2. What kind of toys does/ did your baby like?

We pretty much do the same...DD is a few days younger than Abby and she only lasts about 10 minutes on the mat too. I try putting her on her side for a few mins and then on her back just to change it up. DD loves the hanging toys on her bouncy seat too. We really only have one toy for her and she loves it...let me see if I can find it...

Of course I can't find it! It's a cute lady bug that makes all sorts of cute sounds and says "Peek a boo", etc. and the little eyes light up and flash red. I think the red eyes mesmerize her!

wow I was just going to post the same question!
Except my dd is 2 months...I was going to ask what activities do you do with a 2 month old
she loves her swing and ends up napping in it...the bouncer she seem to have become board with it and tummy time doesn't last very long....the high light of our day is sticking our tongues at each other (which I do enjoy)

At that age DD loved to spend tons of time on her changing table. We would sing to her and show her all kinds of toys and pictures.

She also had the Tiny Love Gymini and loved that. Even before she could grab the toys she would look at all of them. She HATED tummy time until she could roll over on her own and then she loved it. Once she was on her belly more we got the Sassy mirror and stood it up and she would stare at herself.

thanks for posting ladies... abby loves the mobiles on everything especially if they play music. she loves music. i just didnt know if there was some other kind of toys out there for little ones.. i feel like i should invent something and make millions !

The Tiny Music playmat he liked a lot at that age. I would talk to him while he played, and turn him on his tummy. His mobile was also a big favorite.

Other than that, I really don't remember many other toys--I think he had a rattle that he kind of liked, he did have a stuffed giraffe that he loved to hold at that age. And we sang to him a lot and read books.

At this age, I think I spent more time talking to him and pointing things out to him, than doing actual play.

DS liked rattles, the fisher price crib piano, fisher price aquarium that attaches to the crib and one of those floor mirrors.
