My day at the ER

I went in to the ER today since my OB couldnt see me for my m/s -- she advised me to go to the ER here at Ft. Bragg (its just the way they do things here). Anyway, they hooked me up to an IV since I havent been taking in enough fluids and I was severly dehydrated. They gave me some Zofran through the IV since my nausea has been unbarable, took some blood, and wrote me a presciption for the ZofranChat Icon Chat Icon I'm so excited about this since I havent been able to eat AT ALL lately and I'm driving home to NY this friday and I was so worried about the car ride (9 hours of puking). I took it once today and although it works, it only relieves the nausea for about 2 hours at a time. But, its 2 hours of normalcy.

They also did an ultrasound to check the baby. This was SO exciting since we havent had one yet and we werent supposed to have ANY until 20 weeks! They said I'm measuring 7w1d. The baby's heartbeat was very strong, and everything looks perfect. DH wasnt as excited, but thats because he couldnt tell what he was looking at Chat Icon Chat Icon He said it looked like a little blob. But overall, it was a long visit to the ER but well worth it. Seeing our little peanut make the morning sickness all worth itChat Icon
