My dad made me cry

I told mom and dad this year that I wasn't getting them a mother's day gift and an anniversary gift and a father's day gift..etc..

They need a new bed, or would like a big screen TV or something big ticket..

Hey, if I put all those gifts in one pile it would add up to that much money!

I would end up taking them out to dinner for their anniversary, and all the other holidays as well..so it's $$.

Dad tells me today that they only gift they want is a grandchild..they want us to have money to do IVF or adoption or donation or whatever we have to do..

They don't want us spending any money and even offered us what little they have.

I hope I get that chance.

I think that's really great of your dad. My ILs gave us $ for our anniversary present this year, to be put toward IVF. I think it's amazing when those we love understand to some degree, how important this is to us, and ultimately want us to be happy, and share in our joy with us.
