Kudos to you!!! I am really interested in this too. I unfortunately don't know if I will be able to do it because when I go back to work I will obviously not be the primary caregiver for most of the day.

i use cloth diaper and i send my son to daycare - so if you have any question FM - there are ways to convince any daycare to do it
to above poster - congrats -using cloth is great - i never had a poop explosion with my son like people do with disposable - it takes a little efort but the cost savings and helping the planet add up

The reasoning to get most daycares to use cloth is that most daycare centers have to pay for their garbage- and diapers are a large part of that
i started with prefolds, covers, and snappi - i sent directiosn and they taped on the wall of changing station - they figured out quick
since he was 15 months we switched to all in ones - specifcally bum ware - they are the least bulky i found - we added liners when he was 6 months and when he transistioned to a toddler room with a toilet in the changing area - they dump the poop in the toilet and flush and then send diaper home
with both kind i send in a large wet/dry diaper bag with the diapers for each day
regulations say you have to take home the dirty diapers every day - i think i have only forgot once or twice- but my place does not get mad
i do use disposable wipes at daycare though
