My Casey keeps cleaning her ...
coochie  Sorry if TMI. I don't know what to do! It's almost constant when we're home although I don't know what she does during the day when we're at work. We just picked her up from the kennel on Saturday after being away for a week. Do dogs get infections down there or anything??

Ok this is gross but could she need her anal gland squeezed? It could be oozing and thats what my do does when its time. When was the last time she was groomed? Thats where Lola has it done.

Hmm I don't know...she's a golden retriever and I thought the bigger dogs don't need to have that done....

It could be, Reesie (golden) also had to have that done twice.

Oh I didnt know that either? I wonder why just small dogs have it done? Could there be a hot spot there? If you look through the hair around the backside is it red? Wait.... did you say coochie??  I was thinking cooley!!!!!
Ok is her coochie red? Oh God the things we do for these babies!!!

Yeah, I don't think the size of the dog matters ... I'm pretty sure Bailey had to have it done once.
Could also be a hot spot in the area ...

Sounds like it may be an infection. See if she continues to lick, if so I would swing by the vet and see what he/she says. My friend's pup had an infection on his penis and needed antibiotics. Hope she feels better soon!
