My carpet and couch are SO wet
I had my carpet and couch steam cleaned today. They are still wet, I mean like WET and it's been 4 hours. It's getting damp outside. Im affraid I will have to turn on my heat in the house to help them dry. I feel weird turning the heat on in September

That sounds weird. I had my carpets steamed and they were moist, not dripping wet.
Has it been resolved?
I would be afraid of damage or mold.

it should not be like that, they should be damp (hardly even noticable) only for about 2-3 hrs, at most, I would call them back in, maybe they didn;t suck enough of the moisture out. Be careful, that wetness can also breed mold in the cushions.

I took care of it. I turned the heat on in the house. It was nice and toasty for about 2 hours (perfect time for the kids to take a bath) and now everything, except Emmas rug which is slightly damp, is bone dry
