My baby's first cold!!

Well, it was bound to happen. Poor thing woke up with a cough and really stuffy. I feel so bad. I just want to make sure I do everything properly. He does not seem to have a fever. Should I give him anything or call the doctor? He is smiling away, but then he lets out little cries. Also, stupid question, but can babies give colds to older children or adults? I'm asking because the person who watches him 2x a week has children and my mom & MIL, who are older, watch him also.

I have little noses saline drops & infant tylenol in the house. Also, a friend told me elevating his head at night helps.

ETA: He will be 4 months old this week.

I would watch him and see how he does with the cold. My DS would have what seemed like just a cold and he'd wind up having Bronchiolitis. He was still eating and sleeping so I never knew...

Keep his head elevated, use the saline drops, tylenol if he runs a fever, humidifier and possibly the vapor bath too...
