My 3yr old finds everything I throw out!
she must have x-ray vision to find the
items I toss (she no longer uses) in the
garbage, she pulls them out and asks
"why did you throw my ***** in the
trash?"

This happens to me ALL.THE.TIME!
What I've started to do is once she's in bed for the night, I throw out anything I want to get rid of that belongs to her in a plastic bag from the supermarket, tie it and then put that in the garbage pail in the kitchen. If it's something bigger, it goes straight to the garbage pail outside.
It's been working well so far. However, when she DOES find something, I lie and say the cat peed on it
She thinks our cat is this awful, vicious pee-er, poor thing never does anything like that

OMG I just seriously laughed out loud.. and guess who walks in "wht you laughing at Mom?" god she is slick. I try to sneak junk in trash at night but sometimes just when Im thinking she can care less abt the McDonalds happy meal junk toy her radar is up.. like some sick sense that one of her items are being discarded and she comes to investigate. Will try the cat pee one or maybe dog pee.. good idea- thanks.
