My
boob hurts...the right one. It's hurting intermitently over the last month or so. Hurts more that time of the month.
I am due for a mammo, but I'm extremely nervous.
Of course, I've been all over the internet researching what it could be and scaring myself silly.
I know the right call is to set up a mammo but I'm having a problem dialing the phone.
I have no lumps or anything but I keep doing self exams wondering why it hurts. I have had a few surgeries so I have scar tissue and it could be the scar tissue itself..here I go self-diagnosing..
I'm usually good at this doctor thing, but the thought of breast cancer is just too much to bear for me.
thanks for letting me vent..

Re: My
Try to relax. I would contact your gyno first and talk to him/her about it and then go for your mammogram since you're due.
Try not to worry. (Easier said than done!) It will be okay!

Re: My
my mom has been experiencing something VERY similar, pain on one side. her pain is very bad and she was concerned it could be cancer. her doctor told her pain in the boob is not a symptom of breast cancer. i'm not a dr either, this is just what hers told her. she is scheduled for a mam too. she found compresses on the area at night helps, as well as tylenol.
ETA: she also does not wear underwire bras right now b/c that seems to aggrevate it.

I was going to post this too. Cancer in the breast doesn't normally present itself as pain. I have a mother and aunt who are breast cancer survivors and neither had pain until after the surgery.

I heard that too and I read about inflammatory breast cancer that is painful. Again, the internet! UGH.
I think my bra combined with scar tissue issues ar causing it. If I called my regular doc, he would just tell me to get the mammo.
I hate this.
