Must share this story.. (mini brag)

So when AJ was first eating table foods she ate off my plate at restaurants. I personally love Salmon. haha so once she took some off my plate and I didn't stop her. She loved it. It became our thing. See that mama and her toddler - the one eating salmon and asparagus. haha

Well she stopped eating it when she found out about chicken nuggets and pizza and frankly I don't eat Salmon daily!

A few weeks ago we were having our weekly dose of salmon and she had her white rice and veggies with chicken nuggets. She asked what I was eating and I told her as well as reminded her she used to LOOOOVE it. Hubby made a sarcastic comment that she won't eat it nowadays.

Being challenged, she tried some. She loves it. She ate 3/4 of my serving with rice and carrots! Now its all she wants!

My brag...
Last night we went to the grocery store and I figured I'd pick up some salmon. I get it by the pound off a full fillet and have the cut it into servings. Two larger and one smaller for her. The guy looked at me like "her?" and there's my sweet 6yr old up on the bar on her toes with a big smile and VERY loudly says "I LOOOOOOOOOVE SALMON, gimme salmon, salmon, SALMON" The guy looks at me. I said "seriously, she does".

He cut it up, wrapped it tagged it and bagged it. Handed it to her as she eagerly waited. She said thank you and spun on her heel with her salmon over her head and really yelled out "I have my Salmon WHOOOHOO!" he smiled and the 5 or so customers around us looked over. One dad passed me by and said "I guess the girl likes her fish huh?"

She skipped and hopped around for a good 5mins after saying to anyone she'd see "I got salmon want to see, its so yummy" haha

I know its silly but I'm very proud my kid tried it, liked it and is happy to eat a relatively healthy food (albeit costly).

I actually have a video of her telling me what's on her plate and how she eats her salmon with rice and steamed carrots.

My 2 yo dd looooves salmon - I hope she doesn't stop liking it as she gets older! I think she likes it because I fry it face down in olive oil so the top gets a little crispy, but it's still fish, so I'm proud of her for gobbling it up!
