Multiples with Clomid [w/Poll]
Hello girls. I don't know where to post this topic really, but after a few failed IUI's my doctor wants me to start a round of clomid. I am super paranoid about having multiples bc of it, so I just wanted to see some 'LIF' statistics..
If you, or a friend, got pregnant while on clomid, how many embryos were there?
ETA - the poll says how many babies, but I'd like to know how many embryos were initially conceived.

I had 2 pretty decent sized eggs on 50mg of Clomid
Conceived my daughter the first try. There was always just 1 baby in there for me

A girl I work with (diagnosed PCOS) got preggers on her first clomid IUI. She had 3 mature follies and there were initially 3 embryos, but one of them miscarried early and she ended up with boy/girl twins.
ETA: On the flip side, I had 3 IUI/Clomid cycles in which I had 3+ mature follicles each time and I only got preggers once with a chemical. But in retrospect, I know know that my tube was blocked on the side my follicles were coming from for 2 of those cycles.

I am currently pg with 1 baby, I took clomid 50mg for 5 cycles (1st cycle was 100mg which was a bust). In the last IUI I did that resulted in my pg, I had 4 mature follies.

i got pregnant 5 times on 150 clomid
the first 2 times i had 1 follicle that fert but i mc both pregnancies
the 3rd time i had 2 follicle - both fert but i mc that one too
the 4th time i had 1 follicle that fert and ds was born (total of 10 medicated cycles resulting in 4 pregnancies)
the 5th time i had 3 follicle and only 1 fert and my other ds was born (did 3 medicated cycles before i got pregnant with ds)
my friend was on 50 mg clomid - got pregnant twice (she tried for 3 clomid cycles before her first baby and first time clomid cycle with her twins)
her first she only had 1 follicle and she had her daughter
her second she had 2 follicle they both fert and she is now preg with twin boys

I've had about 7-8 IUI's, first one I ever had and I conceived my DD (no sign of multiples at any point), others failed, and of the 3 where I miscarried they too were all singletons. When I did the Clomid cycles I was taking 250mg.
Edit - With my DD there was 1 follie but she was Metformin only, no Clomid. All the other IUI cyles were Clomid and I usually had anywhere from 1-3 mature follies each cycle.

DS was conceived on my second cycle of 50mg of Clomid. I wasn't monitored so I don't know many details except only one egg fertilized.

I've done Clomid for 7 days (4 w/ IUIs). No pregnancies.
However my experience-
First round of Clomid I had 9 mature follicles. The doctor would not let me try that cycle for fear of multiples. Afterwards they cut down my dosgae. The most mature follicles I have had at one time was 4.
They will monitor you very closely to see how you respond. If you were to have that many follicles (like I did) they might just have you skip that month (which sucks of course)

well i used femera not clomid but it basically does the same thing. I got pregnant with boy/girl twins my first cycle using it.

My dd was the result of an Iui clomid cycle with one large follies. She was a singleton pregnancy. This pregnancy was also the result for an Iui clomid cycle with 4 mature follies. This was also a singleton pregnancy.
