Mucus Plug, Round 2?? (another TMI post)

So, a week ago today, I lost my mucus plug. I thought that since I was already 39 weeks, that that maybe meant something was happening-- but, here I am a week later.

I didn't think that the plug would regenerate this late in the pregnancy, as I continue to dilate, etc., but I assume maybe it did?? Over the course of the week, I continued to have CM like discharge, but nothing like the one big glob of the plug.

This morning after going to the bathroom, I wiped and again there was a ton of CM like discharge, with a tiny bit of blood in it. Looked like part of the mucus plug to me.

Now, I had an internal on Monday which I had the regular stuff happen-- bloody discharge, also a little CM like discharge but I knew it was just from the internal. And we also had sex Mon and Tuesday to try to ripen the cervix, plus I am taking the evening primrose oil.

Is this my mucus plug again???? It wasn't the big glob as last time, but it was A LOT and I also have been feeling I have been losing a little over time, as opposed to all at once.

Please tell me I won't have to wait yet another week for something to happen. My due date is tomorrow.

From what I heard and know of my SIL, ppl can lose their MP over a period of time and can be up to two wks prior to labor.

For me, it was contractions, LABOR pain, MP- all of it, then baby 3 hrs later.

Same thing happened to me. Often internals can dislodge your mucus plug.
The fact that it has blood in it this time is a great sign. I went into labor right after seeing that mucus plug as opposed to the plain one a few weeks earlier.

The day I went into labor I wiped and their was a little blood. 3 hourrs later I was at the hospital.

I lost my mucous plug weeks before I went into labor. I kept losing more and more to the point that it was ridiculous. I was even still losing some during labor, which we were all laughing about!

both pregnancies i've lost mine over a few days, it sounds like there was some left and it came out. hopefully something will happen soon

the first thing i thought was, could the large amount of stuff be... you know... "remnants" from sex? (omg, every time i think i can't get more TMI, i say something else ). the little bit of blood could be from a mildly irritated cervix?

on the other hand, it could be yet another piece of the plug - as you dilate, more of it comes out...

OR this could very well be the "bloody show". my understanding is that for some people the bs comes with the plug all at once, but for me the bs was a separate event. and it happened right before labor started.

i agree with you, i wouldn't get your hopes up just so you don't get frustrated if this isn't it for you. BUT i would be absolutely ready cause it could be! and if you continue to bleed, i would DEFINITELY suspect that it's the bloody show.
