Mucous plug question
When you lose it, I am assuming that it looks different than the any discharge you've ever had before. Yesterday, I had a lot of mucousy discharge and am wondering if that was my plug. I don't think so since there was no blood (brown or red). I think it may have just been a "dischargy" day. I am hoping so since I am only 33wks.

I had an increase in discharge on & off since 32 weeks. None of them were my MP.
I never lost my MP with my first DS, so I asked my Dr. She said it will look very different than regular discharge.

I haven't gotten that far yet but from what I've read, it sounds like it's pretty unmistakable. I always see it compared to a big wad of snot accompanied by some blood. (although I'm not sure that there's always blood present)
I'm sure one of the girls who have been through this before will chime in and give you a better idea.

I read that there is more discharge in the 3rd tri, so that's what I am figuring it is

Just lost mine yesterday. Trust me, you'll know the difference between regular discharge vs. your mucus plug... it's the most disgusting thing, and you won't believe it came out of your hoo-ha 
TMI - to me it looks like thick snot when you are super congested, complete with a tinge of blood (like when you have a bloody nose).
