Moving, registering kids for school
We are in the process of buying a house and it is taking forevvvvvveeeerr. The sellers need to have their kids enrolled in school and I'm afraid they will end the deal since it is taking so long (we are in underwriting)
Can you register your kids in a district before you close on a house?

I think it depends on the district. My co-worker had an issue when she bought her new house. She moved into her mothers house while she was waiting to close (same school district) and the superintendent made her enroll her daughter in the school at her mothers house and then several weeks later enroll her in the new school once they closed on their home. A little ridiculous since it was the same school district.
