Moving/Packing help
DH and I are moving to GA in a few weeks and I want to start getting packing supplies together. I know we definately want a few wardrobe boxes -- anyone know where we can order these for cheap??
Also, are there any packing/moving supplies that you can suggest that we would definately need? Most of our stuff is already packed in boxes from our last move (like our dishes, pots and pans, appliances, etc.) but we have a lost of office supplies, clothing, bedding, and books that we still need to pack. Its a long-distance DITY move and we're just not sure what we need.

Are you using a major moving co? If so, most of them provide wardobe boxes. My Boss just moved up here from SC and he had some within his things with the co. name on them that came as part of the cost of using their services.

No, we're moving everything ourselves. We're renting a Uhual. I do know Uhaul sells them, but they're very expensive through them.

Staples stores are expensive, though I noticed they had boxes much cheaper online, don't know if they had wardrobes though.
Some bubble wrap is good to get also, though I wrapped most dishes and glasses in newspaper and nothing broke.

Re: Moving/Packing help
Plenty of tape, bubble wrap, something to protect furniture from nicking (we bought furniture pads, but if you have old comforters, they work good too!)
I bought a wardrobe closet when I moved and it fell apart by the time I got it in the new place. I never bought one again. Instead what I do it use heavy industrial garbage bags and neatly lay my clothes in them (hangers and all) and then when I get to the new place just pull them out and put them in the closet.
We are moving in a few months out-of-state, so here are my heart sympathizes!!!!!
