Moving during your 3rd trimester?

So, DH and I have just sold our condo and are hoping to put an offer on a house this weekend. If all works out, we'll be moving about 6 weeks before my due date.

Am equal parts excited and scared!

Have any of you done this? If so, do you have any advice about staying sane and healthy?

I'm 31 weeks. We're closing on a house soon and hopefully having some work done on it (painting, hardwood floors, and crown moulding/wainscoting) before we move in. I'll probably be 35-36 weeks pregnant when we move.

We plan on packing things up gradually. We're going to hire movers. I'll be there more to supervise than anything else. I'll do what I can to unpack, but I don't care if we live out of boxes for a while. Good luck!

We moved 3 weeks before DD was born. We were supposed to close MUCH earlier but the seller kept delaying everything and things took MUCH longer than they should have. It was interesting. I learned that I couldn't do everything (I was also on partial bed rest). We hurried to unpack what we needed right away and left the rest packed for awhile - we approached the rest of it a little at a time.

Don't try to do too much at once or you will feel it and regret it later. Also if you have family who will help pack take advantage of that as well.

We moved 2 months before DS was born. I packed sitting down and did not do much heavy lifting. Try to get as much help as possible.
