moving co?
I am sitting here staring at all the boxes and furniture that DH and I plan on moving to storage ourselves on Sunday thinking I should have looked into a moving company
Has anyone used a moving company before? How much were they?

Re: moving co?
we used Keating- Ed is a great guy and put all of our stuff from our apartment to his storage facility . the move out cost us about $750 and storing it costs $225
we took the insurance policy for an extra hundred bucks or so
the storage facility is his own and its temperature/climate controlled, so we felt comfortable leaving our stuff there
:) i dont know where you live, but i think he's based in syosset

Re: moving co?
We used Bekins Corporate Transfer and Storage. They were recommended by another LIF'er. We obviously weren't "corporate" - they do residential too!
We called them on a Monday, he came to our apt. on Wednesday to see how much we had and how long the move would take, and we moved the next day. So we only set it up with him 3 days in advance!
Oh, and they gave us tons of free boxes, packing tape, and packing materials.
Cost maybe $750? Totally worth it, for us.
Bekins
