Movers Quote

Any idea on how much it should be to move a Jr4 (2 bdrm apartment) from Forest Hills to a house in Essex County NJ??

I just got the craziest quote - I almost fell off my chair.

If any of you whom have moved out of state can provide a recommendation on a good mover who has decent prices I would be really really appeciative!

Re: Movers Quote

Not sure, but definitely shop around!

I originally called a moving co in Long Beach that came highly recommended on here and I almost passed out - over $2k!

Then, we had another company in - and it was more than half off the quote from the original co!

Re: Movers Quote

We were quoted well over $4k and that was suppose to be at a 63% discount because it is a corporate move.

Umm excuse me but I just cannot believe for a minute that it would normally be $12k Chat Icon for anyone to move an apartment from NY and NJ Chat Icon

A few years ago we moved from a 2 br apartment on LI to Middlesex County, NJ. I forget how much we paid, but I think it was around $1500. Chat Icon I definitely wouldn't recommend the moving company though. Maybe you get what you pay for. Chat Icon

i didn't go OOS, but I used Leonetti Brothers. They were very reasonable...give 'em a call maybe. They're in oceanside.

CA Richards Moving Co 223-5656

I don't know how much they would be for OOS moves, but I used them twice a few years back for local moves and was pleased - they're in Baldwin.

I don't think it cost us that much to move from Boston to LI and we had about 2/3 of a full size moving van.

Does that include packing and unpacking? The packing would add a lot to it.

Oh no - that quote was totally without packing. If we wanted them to pack the quote was almost $6,000!!!!!

We are paying less than $900 for two stops picking up stuff. Try Ken's Moving & Storage.
